Looking back on 2022….

As we commence the new year, we look back on what we have achieved during 2022.

We continued our partnership with Travis Perkins, being involved in over thirteen new and refurbished stores throughout the country – covering Bournemouth, Swansea, Edinburgh amongst others. We have also carried out full design duties for refurbishment of a high end tailors just off Saville Row in London – construction due to commence in 2023.

Away from the retail side, we have continued working within the healthcare sector with succesful handover of three projects – Phase 1 of St Peters Medical Centre in Brighton, Coxheath Medical Centre just outside Maidstone, and Parkwood Surgery in Hemel Hempstead. Meanwhile design work is ongoing on a number of other healthcare projects.

We have also been assisting in a number of large apartment schemes in London at planning stage, as well as at construction stage for a scheme in Canvey Island, Essex. Even closer to home, and our closest project to date, has been a small residential scheme for five new detatched high effiiciency dwellings just outside Chelmsford.

Finally, we have been working on a number of industrial units including site in Bristol, Watford and Witham.

Looking towards 2023, we have a number of intertesting schemes being progressed in the healthcare sector and in the community and sports sectors.

If you have any projects you would like us to look at, then we will be happy to discuss them with you.

Barn restoration

Earlier this week we were in Sussex for handover of this barn restoration. The final picture shows the barn before the project began. The barn was in danger of collapse but was straightened and strengthened. As well as the structural works, the scope included replacing the roof and cladding, installing new insulation, new windows, new underfloor heating fed from heat pumps and new electrical services. The contractor used traditional skills in the restoration of this oak framed barn with some amazing small details like handmade cleats for the cladding fixing. Overall a great project to be involved in and watch the transformation!

St Peters Medical Centre, Brighton

Visited site last week in Brighton. Good to see site works finally underway with the main contractor making a start on the groundworks. UKPN sub-station has been moved to make way for the first phase of works. Will be good to see the works progress.
